Phone stuck at Google load screen
Updated to Jelly Bean (or whatever it's called) on Wednesday because I kept getting annoying prompts to do so. I rarely turn my phone off, but it died while I was shopping today. Plugged it into the car charger to turn it on, but it gets stuck at the black screen with the Google logo. Pulled the battery and the logo stayed on the screen till I unplugged the car charger.
Put the battery back in, plugged it back in, I got the little white battery with the lightning bolt and then the animation of the battery filling up before the screen went to black--that is normal. Left it plugged in my whole ride home (over an hour). I'm home now and have it plugged into the charger that came with it. It still gets stuck at the Google screen.
If this is from the update, I'm going to freak. I'm one of those people who doesn't back up photos and I have a ton of pictures on my phone that I need to update my portfolio this weekend.
I'm automatically inclined to believe this is an issue with the update, since it was working fine till today.
Got a new battery back in July since the phone was hot to the touch and occasionally wouldn't turn on.
Someone please help, I'm dying over here.
Edit: I don't know what all this talk is about rooted and unrooted, but my phone is essentially the same as the day I bought it at the Verizon store. I have only downloaded/used Google Play Store apps.

Same thing happened to me after JB upgrade, let it stay on Google screen and it will eventually boot up.It might take up to 5 minutes, but you will see the pulsing JB X eventually. My problem is that I am still having issues with long boot up time, it's inconstant, but sometimes its takes a few minutes to boot up. Never happened before the JB upgrade, if anyone knows how to fix that, plz let me know. My phone is stock VZ.

What you are experiencing is data integrity check in JB OS. Boot times could take as long as 10 minutes. Usually happens when powered down in different way than power menu. Also I have noticed if files have changed in any way it could take long to boot as well.
Have you backed up your files and pictures? I see too many desperate cries for help recovering deleted priceless pictures with no solution.
