jpg file not recognized by Galaxy Nexus

Hi,

When I transfer a jpg file from my Windows PC to my Galaxy Nexus, sometimes it is not recognized properly: Gallery won't display it at all, when trying to use for a contact picture, I have to do it via a file explorer and still it doesn't get used (no error message), when I force a view from the file explorer, Gallery opens but shows a black picture.

What is wrong with those files?

Try a reboot after transferring the pics and see how it goes.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Just did that, but problem remains.

Tried with Photoshop: it doesn't see the file either.

Tried with Photo Editor: that worked! I then rotated and cropped the photo and saved it. The saved photo is now perfectly visible and usable on the phone.

Are there some special compatibility conditions for pictures to be recognized?

That I wouldn't really know as I really just drag and drop. Glad that you found a solution at once. Another new knowledge for sharing

It may have something to do with big Indian or little Indian encoding.

If you have any information about that, please let me known.

I will also do some more testing to find more about this.
