Need help! No baseband or signal on rooted gnex gsm

Im Just rooted and unlocked my GNexus last night with Toolkitv 5.5 and was successful. I backup my stock rom and everything. i started playing with different roms to see which one i would like. I downloaded 4.0.4 Rom that i thought was for gms but when i went thru the process i got an error on the phone saying something about it for the LTE version. when I restored to my back up stock rom there was no signal no baseband like i was missing something. Can anyone help? thankyou!

If you go to settings > about phone, what does it say under baseband version? Which carrier are you on?

it is blank now dont remember what it was before. I was using at&t but it doesnt att anymore..

From the same screen, can you tell me what it says for Build number?

Try flashing the UGKK7 radio from this link...[Radio] (GSM) Galaxy Nexus I9250 Baseband dumps collection & discussion - xda-developers

From that link, if you scroll down to UGKK7, click the link for CWM > Nexfiles DL, and you can download a correct radio which is flashable in clockworkmod. Once downloaded to your phone, boot into CWM and flash the zip.

ok i have downloaded the radio zip file. Now whats next? this is kinda new to me. where do i put this radio zip file? Do i put the file in my clockworkmod folder on the phone? Do I it put it in my back up folder? do i keep it zip or extract?

IT WORKS! Thank you i just did what you said and eveything works so far. Att shows up now baseband is back. I wonder what happen? How did my radio erase and i backup my stock rom.

That's great! So you know, if it's the ROM I'm thinking of, the 4.0.4 ROM flashed the CDMA radios, and restoring your backup won't replace those radios.

I'm glad that it only needed a flash of the correct radios to fix though...congrats!

What are some roms for the gsm that are good. are there any that improve battery, the signal? any that run on 4.0.3?
