    Boot Loop [Stock Nexus]

    Okay, so.
Today i simply tried to click messaging from the tray on my Nexus. It than froze for about a minute, and rebooted itself as per usual. Except this time it decided to stay at the "Google" beginning, and once it realized it was stuck, tried to reboot itself again. It would continually get stuck at the whole colorful rainbow screen, but get farther into it each time, and than start over after awhile. So, stuck, and I'm angry.
I was reading and few posts about this and tried to boot it in recovery, it worked but came up "Encryption Unsuccessful You Must Factory Reset Your Device" (or something similar) After a few more tries, because i really didn't want to do that, it came up once more so i did it. It showed up the the android logo and blue bar (guessing that means it was resetting?) and when that was done, it just got stuck in a boot loop again. D: Help is much appreciated because i can't go to Bell until Monday.

I could be way off but it sounds like your SIM card is havin issues. Are you rooted or stock? And what do you mean by " rebooted as usual"? Be patient, alot of people here very knowledgeable and helpful.

    **How'd you do that?**

    It's stock.
And, i mean that whenever it freezes (only happened maybe 3 times) it will reboot itself.

Unfortunately the random reboot problem has been fairly widespread. An upcoming software update should fix that. What's the state of your phone right now? Can you boot it up?

Phone is currently off. (In order to get it to stay that way i had to take the battery out and put it back in)
It won't boot, it freezes whenever I try to boot it.

Can you boot into recovery? Hold both volume down and power at same time, this should boot you into bootloader, then you can use volume keys to scroll, and power to select

Nope, i cannot boot it in recovery. I've tried it about 10 times and i keep getting the android logo with an exclamation point. I've also tried to restart the boot loader.

Once you're at the exclamation point press both volume buttons and power button at the same time. Its tricky and might take a few tries. If you can try that again it should take you into factory recovery.

Tried it 3 times, it just reboots the phone and it gets frozen again.

Ok I have one more thing to try. From power off state volume down+power button should get you into download mode. Let me know if that works then we can proceed from there.
