    Browser

Hello RS, I'm having some sort of issue with the broswer and I just cant find any information in regards to it. I'm Rooted but not running any roms yet. What happens is when I use a browser (Dolphin, Boat, Opera) it won't let me watch videos on full screen it'll freeze and the have to close the browser or no option. to play video comes up. I'm not sure if this is maybe a known issue, or if its just my phone, this doesnt happen on stock browser though, and I'm not really a fan of it. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank You.

I would say those browsers aren't optimized for ICS which could make them a bit twitchy.

Could be. I haven't used anything but the stock browser as I like it quite a bit.

    Tapped via Galaxy Nexus LTE..

I agree PP. I usually love using Dolphin but it was very buggy. Although those browsers are noted in Market as being compatible with Galaxy Nexus They are not yet optimized for ICS as PP stated.

Ah ok, thank you guys for that quick and prompt responses. Yea I just assumed that becuase they said they were ICS compatible, that they were optimized for ICS. Thanks again.

Try out Maxthon and see how it does. They have had at least 4 updates since the release of the GNex and I just watched the 2 Ben Breedlove videos in full screen on YouTube and they worked flawlessly.
I just cannot find anything in their changelog back to early November that say us they are compatible or optimized for ICS. But it hasn't given me any problems so far.

I havent had problem with Opera Mini, Dolphin HD and the stock browser. Else I am having problem with all other browser that you can think of. I tried bunch others. My personal fav is skyfire, but it stopped working properly after 4.0.2 update. I can browse mostly, but cant access settings, if I click on settings, it restrts. Same problem with few other browsers and apps, can't access settings. At first I thought I might have installed a rouge app (as I also installed a few 3rd party apps), but finally realized that its just the update. Those poor apps haven't been totally optimized with ICS yet. IMO

I would definitely give Google Chrome a shot. Not only is it optimized for ICS, its UI is exactly like the one on your desktop. Although I like Dolphin Browser, especially now that it has rolled out the SONAR feature, Chrome is still my favorite browser on the phone, by far.
