Google announced Android 4.2 with Nexus 4, 7 and 10

okay so Google announced today that the new line of nexus and of course that they will ship with Android 4.2 now of course i wont be getting any of the new devices but i am curious about the 4.2 update so i fully expect our Nexus to get the update as soon as its released too but how long does Google take to release these devices after they are announced and how soon could we expect to see an update as soon as the phones are released? i know 4.2 isnt considered a major release by some but still its nice to get these releases from Google

yeah something to do with Google coming out and saying that Verizon "wasnt a good Google experience for users" and issues with battery life on LTE also Google wanted full control of software and i guess having the device on LTE would compromise the experience

Here is a link if anyone wants a little more info on why Google decided not to make the move

I know their reasons for it, and I understand them...but it still sucks. I don't feel all the reasons are valid (like the battery thing), but my feelings as to their reasons really don't matter in the end.
Guess we shall see what happens by the time my contract ends with VZW.

Yeah i absolutely agree with you,i mean i dont like Google's decision I dont think its completely justified but im sure there are other reasons that they will never tell us but clearly anyone would want an LTE device for a premium device like the new Nexus, it is a bummer but guess we got to take it for what it is

I'm psyched about the Nexus 4. I will wait at least for a few months before I buy one, though. I want to be able to flash a fairly stable custom ROM as soon as I get it. It will take some time.

In the meantime, I will remain loyal to my Galaxy Nexus for now.

someone please correct me if this has been previously pointed out.. but it just clicked in my head all of the sudden, is the naming convention here that the 4 in nexus 4 references the screen size as it does in the 7 & 10?
