I've got 1 12" Kicker Solo Baric L7 that I was using in my old car. I've got no use for it now. It won't fit in my Tacoma so it's just gathering dust. I really liked it.
Is your amp showing it is turned on and everything? Anytime that I had a problem during my initial install it was something in my head unit. Either the subwoofer setting was turned off, one of the filters was turned on and was blocking the sound from the sub, or I just had the RCA cords hooked up wrong on the back of it. If you are getting the all clear from the amp and you have checked that the wires are correct from the AMP to the subs, check the Head Unit. If that fails it's probably wiring to the speakers somewhere. Either to the outside of the box or somewhere on the connectors on the inside of the box.

L7 rocks socks man...
But yeah the amp is on, at first it wasnt grounded right but i fixed that and now its not powering them. I've checked the head and everything is right. Moved all the filters around and nothing makes it work.
Checked all the wires twice and everything is good. Gonna check in the box tomorrow. Something must have come loose while we were moving it around.
And this is my first set of subs (but I have my friends who have all had multiple sets of them in there car teach me how to set them up). I'm super pumped to get these going.

It's probably inside the box somewhere. Those wires fall off or came loose all the time when I was doing it. Got to make sure everything is either soldered well or your crimps are good on the connectors.
I used to have 2 12" JL w6v2's in my first car when I was younger. I swear they were the reason that I can't hear well now
those Subs were just way too loud and I used to blare them all the time with no break lol They sure were nice though

If your amp is on and you get no output then yea speaker wires could be an issue. Your bad ground concerns me tho. Is that a mono amp and is is rated for 2ohms? How did you wire up your subs? In series or parallel?
Have you backed up your files and pictures? I see too many desperate cries for help recovering deleted priceless pictures with no solution.

The hell? It's starting to sound like I'm back in my classroom again with all this talk about wiring and circuits. Parallel and series. At least you didn't start talking about complex. (Yet.)
*Edit - Huber, do you have a multimeter? And did you smell anything funny when you hoomed up power? With having ground either not hooked up or hooked up wrong, I would go through and check your votages throughout the connections, components, and circuits to make sure you blow anything else. And check resistance wherever/if applicable.
I'm with Paul. the ground thing concerns me.

Indeed, poor grounding is a *ahem* common cause of electrical problems.

post script: ah... this makes me miss my truck before i totaled it... i was running about 1600 watts rms... to a ten and a twelve... man... i could put anything from classical to rap to rock... no distortion...haha... with mp3 tracks at 196 for the bit rate... i surprised an audiophile or two with the clean sound... ah... now i miss it

The grounding was a problem at first then when I started to move it to another location as I loosened it the amp kicked on. I saw the amp wasn't in and got to fixing it first and now that's fixed. And my dad is an electrician so he's pulling out all types of tools and crazy things.
No funny smells nothing, the amp is for sure on (there's a blue light that shows up if its getting power) so its either a connection from the amp to box or box to sub. And as of now I've redone the amp to box multiple times and that cannot be it.
I'm gonna go to practice then I'll be back to fixing it.

Make sure you don't have one of the filters on the amp on that might be blocking it. Most amps have some dials you can turn with a screwdriver, turn them slowly and see if you start to get something. Double check the back of your head unit to make sure you have your RCA cables in the correct input. Make sure all connections are tight. Check all your fuses again and make sure none blew again. Also check the speaker wires are correctly wired (series or parallel) at the amp.
Your ground wire should be bolted to bare metal somewhere near your amp. Take a piece of sand paper or brillow pad and scratch down the metal to make sure you have a good connection. If all wires, connections, grounds, and fuses are good it's got to be a setting on your head unit. Something in the equalizer could be turned off or too low. First set up always sounds like crap when I did it until I finished playing with the head unit and got it clean and sounding good lol

As of now I'm about to take the subs out and make sure they are wired right and good. Then check the dials on the amp itself. Ive done the sandpaper to the car and got it bare. And right now I have the Eq as all bass just so I know when it'll hit that way I can hear it.
And what do you mean by filters on the head? I've got Pro EQ on the head and it has Hz volume and then Q whatever that is. All that is for bass middle and treble. And then in audio I have loud turned on, and I have it set to subwoofer gain 4 of 8 and amp level on high. Other than that I don't see anything else that can change it
