'Morning, everyone. Er, afternoon, I mean.
I'm having an influx of ideas after starting this new caeer path and learning about a lot of really freaking cool stuff in school.
One of my thought was that I wonder if it were possible to have out phones act as RF remotes for our satelite boxes, i.e. DIRECTV boxes which are cabable of receiving such signals and are able to be configured as such. All we need is to be able to send out an RF pulse negating having to be connected to your internet for doing the same over WiFi.
It would be kinda cool for dorks lime me who don't have a wireless connection other than my pbone being used as a router.
I' ve tried all the ways of making an IR remote that plugs into our 3.5 jacks and trying to get all the codes and recording the signal from the remote to duplicate it on our phones. I know some have gotten it to work. But after a little while I might give it a go again now that I kinda know what I'm doing now making the thing. And how to not blow out your diodes and transistors, etc. Lol!
But I was thinking RF pulses have to be possible from our devises. I'd even be willing to work with someone trying to get this going. Lol.
... Oh, God! My wife is right. I am turning into a geek/nerd. Lmao!

Finally got my subs..
2 10'' kicker. 250 RMS with a 500 watt alpine amp. With a baseband box.
Got everything set up all the wires hidden. (Blew a fuse in doing so.. scared me to death) amp is ready to go. Box is in the trunk facing me but... no bass. 5 hours of work = failure. Gonna finish tomorrow morning haha
