I consider myself quite an avid homebrewer, I have a pretty rudimentary all grain setup, but we do OK with it; made some pretty fantastic ales actually doing my first lager, as a friend and I have pooled together resources to get equipped for it:

I'm still an extract brewer. One day I'll have the resources for all grain. It's been awhile, but I've gotta get an IPA going soon. Miss it!

Ipa is one of my favorites ..
As any hobby goes, you can definitely spend a lot on an all grain setup!
wait until you get into kegging .. sooo much better than bottling, only problem is you tend to drink it faster..

I just started making my own, I'm using the Mr Beer kits, they're very simple but it's given me a taste of home brewing. Maybe I'll invest in some real equipment soon.

I just started making my own, I'm using the Mr Beer kits, they're very simple but it's given me a taste of home brewing. Maybe I'll invest in some real equipment soon.

About $125 for a basic kit (glass carboy) and another $50 tops for extras to make life easier. To hell with Mr Beer. Do it now! You'll thank yourself.

Nice! I use the kegs as secondary fermenters a lot of the time too.
I got some big plans for brewing this summer, first a raspberry wheat, (been promising that one to my lady for a while) and a pilsner; two good styles for warm weather I think
