Welcome to the forum!!! The method you use to root will depend on your skill level. If you are new to rooting then I suggest using one of the root tools like Wug's tool kit. http://www.galaxynexusforum.com/forum/galaxy-nexus-hacking-mods-lte-cdma/1445-wugs-nexus-root-toolkit-v1-5-4-updated-10-11-12-a.html

If you are up for it the manual way of rooting is good too and you will learn a lot about your phone. Look in here.

Welcome aboard. Just a few inputs on rooting. Before you dive in, ask yourself first why you wanna do it. The Nexus is about the easiest phone to play around with but quite a number of users don't really root yet enjoy the benefits it has to offer. I'm only stating this as a precaution because although rooting is safe, it's what we do after which could give us the smile we want or the sleepless nights we don't need.

Thanks for the insight! I'm actually doing that...just enjoying and trying to learn the phone as it is now...so I'll know the difference once/if I do root it. I do like the battery life option...although I am running Juice Defender. And I also like the wifi option as well. But that's why I joined...to get a better understanding of all that this phone can do...and it looks as if its a lot!!!
