well guys i made the switch

This is a discussion on well guys i made the switch within the New Member Introduction & Site Assistance forums, part of the Galaxy Nexus Forum category; i left DX today for nexus... just a few questions to start off with.... do we have to use wugfresh type app for tethering or ...

    well guys i made the switch

    i left DX today for nexus...

    just a few questions to start off with....

    do we have to use wugfresh type app for tethering or is there a good one on the market ??..
    and can verizon track the data like could could on DX ( unless you patched it )...
    i also seem to have a device thats asking me for an upgrade. i see alot of people talking about 4.0.4,,,, im on 4.0.2 should i stay away from the upgrade ?? and if so how ?

    AND ROOT any links would be awesome, IM not SCARED to try , if this is like DX cant be brick lol...

    Yes for sure you should upgrade. A lot of differences between 4.0.2 and 4.0.4

    Welcome, you'll enjoy the switch. You can find root guides for PC and Mac in the Hacking Guides sub-forum, it's different than Moto devices but pretty easy. There aren't any exploits needed, just getting the proper files in place.

    And if you are rooted, this works very well. Used this ever since my Bloatorola days too:

    Personally, I like the upgrade to 4.0.4 better than 4.0.2. But, you know what they say about opinions. Lol!

    Welcome to the forum yes you data usage can be monitored..though Verizon if you know about rooting you can always use wireless tether
