Welcome to the forum. Why not try both and you decide? Aokp is very popular tho.....

Welcome aboard! The choice of Rom is an individual preference so just try them to find which you like! Plenty of help here, just ask!

Welcome. With so many options and so many features on each rom, I suggest trying several. You are in a good position to do that. Since you will be unlocking and rooting straight out of the gate, you will not need to worry about losing sd contents or any saved data. So flash away and find the rom that fits your style and needs.

Thanks guy's, from what I see aokp is about the most popular, so I'll probably start there and play around with kernels until I find one that runs best on my phone. Is the wug root method as easy as it seems?

4 clicks of the mouse and some patience. Drivers is the hardest part. Just let the computer work it may take it awhile and appear to not be doing anything but let it go. Also DO NOT connect the phone until the kit tells you to and you should be fine.
