Didn't something similar happen with Verizon & the Nexus One? They were all set to carry it and yanked it at the last minute. Someone please correct me if I'm mistaken.

Didn't Sprint have a Nexus 1? They're the other CDMA outfit.

Actually, it was the Nexus One. It was scrapped pretty early on when Verizon and Google couldn't see eye to eye. And so the Droid Incredible was born instead.

Lol couldn't see eye to eye because google knew people didn't want vzw's bloat crap and vzw refused to give folks what they want.

Becides, does bloat Really make vzw money? Who uses the paid versions of google's services that vzw installs? Does anyone ever use vzw navigation instead of google's nav? I'm inclined to believe that vzw really isn't losing a penny by omiting their bloat.

You would be absolutely shocked at how many people use vz crapware. The average user really doesn't know any better. My brother picked up a Commando and was trying to tell me how awesome VZ Nav and Bing was. I almost kicked him in the nuts out of pure disgust. I tried to explain to him how much better the google apps were but he didn't care. This is the mentality of a lot of VZ customers. They take what VZ gives them and don't know any better.

The mouth breathers at my local VZW store have informed me they know a lot of customers that use the paid VZW apps instead of the free google apps, especially the VZW navigator. This came from someone who loves his Thunderbolt.
