Air Kernel (Very Smooth UI and Highly Stable; However I cant really report Battery Life but it is definitely worth a try)
Popcorn Kernel (Very Smooth and Highly Stable; Battery Life? Worth it to Flash)
SOFT KEY MODS:
Zenyth v3.0
SoftKey Collection
Moreover, I am trying to keep these updated as soon as new versions are released. However, if someone sees a new rom that isnt posted, please post so everyone can enjoy it. Flashing JB Bootloader with these Roms is recommended.
Anyone wondering the difference between Bootloaders can be found here: ICS Bootloader vs JB Bootloader
To switch between the two either flash the zip file found here or use adb and find the image file here (below are adb instructions)
The guide for going back and forth reads like:
{fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-toro-primela03.img}; if using a mac {./fastboot...(some name it fastboot-mac) flash bootloader ...}
insert JB bootloader .img to upgrade to the new bootloader
Installation Instructions (for those who are to new to JB or just arent sure)
However please take the following steps to avoid bugs:
1) Download Rom
2) Download that Roms specified Gapps (others may cause bugs)
3) in Recovery Wipe System
4) Wipe Cache
5) Wipe Dalvich
6) Flash Galaxy Nexus Super Wipe especially if coming from ICS in order to remove it completely. Failing to do so can cause problems.
7) InstallJB Bootloader
7) Install Rom
8) Install Gapps (most are Rom Specific)
9) Install Custom Kernel (If flashing Trinity Fixing Permissions is recommended after flashing Kernel)
Some allow dirty flashes from another JB rom but because it is so new I always clean install to avoid any potential issues. REMEMBER THAT GAPPS SO FAR ARE ROM SPECIFIC SO MAKE SURE YOU FLASH THE APPROPRIATE GAPPS FOR THE APPROPRIATE ROM TO AVOID ISSUES AND INSTABILITIES.
