Booting issues with Jelly Bean are widespread. I let AdAway reboot my phone after downloading ad blocking hosts and it would never again go beyond the Google splash logo. Nandroid wouldn't restore, full wipe and reflash JB ROM wouldn't boot, full wipe and flash ICS ROM wouldn't boot. Had to Odin and lose all data on the device. Fortunately I backed up my SD partition contents prior to this fiasco after reading similar horror stories. Done with it until customs are source built.
Tapped via Galaxy Nexus LTE..

The only problem I've had with JB ROMs is boot loops. I forget which ROM it was, but I tried to be patent and wait for it to boot, but after 20 minutes I gave up. Yes, I did a full wipe of everything 3 times (twice before the flash, then once after). I did get one ROM to work and it was alright, but I got bored with it from the lack of customization.

I'm with you .. I can't wait to see what the devs can really do with the source..

I thought I was done with JB roms but came back to it this morning. I tried a test build of Infektion but was rudely served bootloops for breakfast lol. I never had any serious issues with JB but we all know it's not perfect yet. Features and speed are awesome tho.
Have you backed up your files and pictures? I see too many desperate cries for help recovering deleted priceless pictures with no solution.

I love the JB rom but needed something a little more customizable so went back to AOKP. Can't wait until AOSP drops and we get some real builds for it.

We have big plans for JB, hoping that source would be soon, it seems like source will be different vs. that nandroid everyone are building off of as it will include that Google work around to the unified search feature Apple is whining about..
Come on Google, let us have at it

I have never had a problem with JB. I have been running the Roms about two days after they came out and have not had one single issue at all. I'm the opposite. I don't ever see myself putting my GNex back into a less polished OS. ICS is a very nice OS, but Jelly Bean is just that Mich better.

I have just made a post on the AOKP milestone 6 thread regarding my appreciation of a custom ROM over stock. Can't wait till they push out a 4.1 build, but until then there is no way I will be using JB as it stands. I lasted 20 minutes and crawled back to AOKP with my tail between my legs. I knew it was a mistake when I did it!

1. Don't use outdated touch CWM Recovery unless you have the paid version. Flash CWM Recovery via rom manager.
2. Flash JB Rom via CWM Recovery but don't use rom manager.
3. Flash JB rom-> reboot(pull battery out if looping)-> CWM Recovery-> factory reset-> reboot

I've been running Vicious JB for about a week now. No reboot issues. No complaints at all. I do miss the customization with source built but for now, I'm really loving the stock experience and decided I can love it until the source drops.
For the record, I'm running Vicious JB, faux kernel. When I installed, I did a full wipe (dalvick cache too). And reinstalled all apps from the market after booting up. Initial boot was about 5 minutes. After reinstalling apps, I switched back to nova launcher and restored my home screen layout. Loving project butter and all the little details that have gone into jelly Bean.
