Should i flash roms?

I got my GNex about a month ago, and before it i had a Desire HD, which was rooted. I tried MANY different roms and swapped them regularly, because most of them were better than the stock sense 3.0 and because ics update was taking faar too long. But, with Galaxy Nexus i'm not sure whether or not to flash any custom roms, because a nexus device is getting updates before everyone else, even before a rom of that android version is available. To sum up the question, should i mess with other roms now? I'm running 4.1.1 Jelly Bean, stock and unrooted and honestly i'm afraid to lose my OTA ability...

I guess it's a matter of 'do you want extra features not available on stock JB'...

Don't forget that you can make a NANDROID of you phone so if in urge need of going back to Stock, you just need to restore that nandroid and you are good to go with your OTA.

You can even flash back everything to stock to the version of ICS or JB you want.

So changing ROM is just a matter like Firewalker said, having features you cant find in JB. Althought none of the ROM so far have officially released any JB ROM, they are either ALPHA,BETA or nightlies.

Besides, who cares about OTA when you can simply flash whatever is being sent out OTA anyway? Also, OTA updates aren't always good. Just think if crapple gets their way, the new search will be watered down. That's an update you would want to avoid. I kinda like having my phone set for me to decide what I want to update, not the carrier. Just my .02
