    Galaxy Nexus usability - personal

Hello. I'm planning to get a Galaxy Nexus and I'm wondering if it will suit my needs. What I want to do with it is make it my sole communication and social hub with some productivity tools running in the background.

    What I would be doing:
Running apps in the background - Adobe reader, Dictionary, Bible, Evernote, MX Player
    - I would be occasionallyswitching between these apps but I would just like them to run in the background

Frequent app switching - Go SMS, Tweetcaster, Flipboard, FB, Google+, KakaoTalk, Email

Do you think the 1.2 GHz dual core and 1 GB RAM of the Gnex would be sufficient for my needs?

I don't have any intention of rooting it. I also am not planning to get a Nexus 4 after all the scary problems that I discovered with it on the web.

    Appreciate your replies. Thanks.

Of course its more than capable. The question is how far from a charger are you going to be?

Nexus will handle all of that, no problem.
You should also pick up an extended battery for it..

I see ppl complaining about battery life.. But my battery life is pretty good with the extended battery. Don't have to keep a charger in my pocket like I see some talk about. Lol

My wife uses a Galaxy Nexus that is unlocked, rooted and running a custom rom and kernel. She runs it at 1.2 Ghz and it is fast enough for all her browsing and Youtube watching and of course all the regular email, texts, etc. She is running Sourcery and the latest Trinity kernel. The thing is totally stock and quick. She has an upgrade available in May and continues to say she may not use it yet as the Gnex is meeting all her needs 100%. YMMV!!
