    Newbie to Forum, 2 problems with phone

    Hi, I have a Google nexus phone with Android 4.0.4 OS, located in Australia carrier is Optus. I have had the phone for about 6 months and generally OK. A couple of issues though, hoping someone can help solve these.

    1. During some voice calls the speaker will suddenly stop working, ie I cannot hear the other person. I have confirmed that they can hear me. It does not happen on all calls. I thought I may have been pressing the volume down switch, bt proved that was/is not the case. Any ideas?

    2. Gallery. I have the phone sync'd to my google account and originally the gallery app would display the photos I have up on google photos (formerly Picassa). Recently that has stopped. The galleries on google photos as black squares and it lists the number of photos in each gallery, but the actual photos do not display on phone.

    Hoping someone can help solve these issues

    4.0.4 is an older version. 4.2.1 is out but maybe not on your carrier. The continuous updates fixed bugs present when 4.0.x came out. You should contact your carrier to see if they will be updating the phone.

    Or go to settings /about phone/ system updates to see if there are any updates.
