Texting after update

Hey guys,

First of all, I'm not really good with my phone and at the same time I may ask questions or state things that are of the obvious. My apologies.

The other day my phone said it had an update and I updated it. The phone now says its running "4.1.1" software. It changed a few things, mostly things I don't care about, but the texting is a bit different, and imo worse then what it was before.

Before I updated it, when I was texting and I pushed the space bar, above the letters I had the option of putting a !, ?, , , or a .

Also, if I pushed space twice, it would just put a period for me. But now with this new update, it doesn't do any of that anymore. Now when I push space bar, it just tries to guess my next word, and I have to go into a separate screen to find the question mark or whatever it is I need.

Is there anyway to go back to the old texting way? I'm not saying reinstall the other version, but just somewhere in the options where I can go back to the more efficient way?
