    Update and Foxfi

Hello all not sure if this is the right to post this question? I just read that yesterday, Jelly Bean (4.1.1) is now rolling out on Sprint. So my question is, has anyone ran this update, and dose Foxfi still work? Or did sprint block it? I love my Nexus just got it almost 2 weeks ago. Upgraded from HTC Evo 3D. On 2 side notes I would have been a loyal HTC Evo user but they lost me when the new Evo LTE came out, and had no replaceable battery. 2nd side note, I noticed that my new Samsung Galaxy Nexus gets way better 3G data speeds, that my Evo 3D ever did. We don't get the honer of 4G here in Little old San Diego.

I can't say for sure but I believe Droid Life posted on twitter that sprint has blocked that app you could try and Google foxfi. Apk and see if you can download it from the Web somewhere and then install it that way

Thanks for the reply. I have it and it runs great, and yes Sprint did remove it from Google Play. I do find it strange that the ad-on for Foxfi is still on there Google play.
What i was trying to find out was, if i run the new "ota" update 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean), that should be hitting me any day now, will it make Foxfi stop working?

The answer is no it will not work once you update to 4.1 or higher. They say it is being worked on.

I have the same problem. After searching the internet about this it seems that our only recourse is to wait for the FoxFi developers to overcome this issue or root our phones. I think that I'll wait it out.

Yes the people at Foxfi have to over come Sprints quest to stop us from using the internet via our smart phones and bandwidth we pay extra for, $10 extra for every smart phone on your plan. Still is the best deal out there if you can pick up 4G LTE. Sprint has a lot of work to do on this service as it spotty at best in the cities they advertise are covered. You have two choices either don't update or update and wait for Foxfi.
