Help In Update.

    Help In Update.

    i recieved an Update for Android 4.1 Jellybean and this is what i got.

    --Install /cache...
    Finding update package...
    Verifying update package...
    Installing update...
    Verifying current system...
    assert failed: apply_patch_check("/system/vendor/lib/egl/libGLEv2_PowerVR_SGX540_120.so" , (whole lot more numbers)
    E:Error in /tmp/sideload/package.zip
    (Status 7)
    Installation aborted.

    tried like alot of times and still the same. can anyone help? or should i bring to repair?

    could you give details on what you did with the phone prior to getting the ota message?

    honestly, I did nothing. I just got the message then I updated it and got that. I just got my galaxy nexus on 12th June.

    got update notification, downloaded it OTA, said install, green android with moving blue bracket shows up, after the progress bar reaches 1/3 of max. size --> Andoid lies on the ground und red exclamation mark pops up)... then after reboot, nothing has changed
    Android Version : 4.0.4
    Baseband Version: I9250XXLA2
    Build Number: IMM76I

    Did you get it new in a sealed box? Usually when you get the android lying down during an update that means your recovery isn't stock.

    yes I did. if my recovery isn't stock, what do I do?

    seems to me that there is a corrupted file somewhere. i don't think it's just a matter of recovery really. you might need to flash the full system fresh to make it work. you can check the first link in my signature for that.
