JB update stucked on IMM76I - guide to flash radio from XXKK6 to XXLA02

    Hy.

I have GNex which I unlocked and update to ICS 4.0.1 manually from tutorial on this forum from Google.
I have now ICS Yakju IMM76I, and I receiving updates from Google (which I previosly received from Samsung).

I CLEAR CACHED "Google service" which reseted last system update date to 1970 year based from this thread:
    http://www.galaxynexusforum.com/foru...heres-how.html

Then i received notification that JB is ready to download and install. So i did. Tryed it allready 2 times but everytime in middle of installation appears icon of android on back with red triangle icon. (which means error)

Why is that? Does anyone know? Should I manually update from this thread:
[HOW TO] GSM: Manually Update from ICS Yakju IMM76I to JB Yakju JRO03C

...or is there any other way to install JB over network without error? Should I factory reset phone, will it reset to stock (locked and samsung updated)? ....or is he bugged by fact that previosly unlocked phone and install 4.0.1 yakju IMM76I manually from Google?

    Thx!

Locking would not make any difference. Are you on stock rom or have you altered anything?

I had locked GNex with some old ICS 4.0...something. I didnt receiving official updates to 4.0.4, i was tired of waiting so i manually update with this tutorial to current build 4.0.4 IMM76I Yakju:
[HOW TO] Update GSM Galaxy Nexus to ICS 4.0.4

Gnex is unlocked with that build but not rooted... Would factory reset of GNex restore something for official update of JB from Google to pass normally without red triangle error? :-/

Did you flash all images? That should give you jb update. Could you give a screen shot of your about phone in the settings menu?

Hmmm...good queston but I dont understand it, Im not expert enough to answer that. :/

Yes ofcourse. Here is my about screen:

    Android version: 4.0.4
    Baseband version: I9250XXKK6
    Kernel version: 3.0.8-gda625b
    android-build@vbps1 #1
    SMP PREEMPT
    Build number: IMM76I

What should I do? Should I factory reset to receive official JB update or should I try manually update JB with that tutorial thread up above?

    Thx!

Saw the error already. You must not have flashed the radio because your baseband shows xxkk6. It has to be xxla2 as in the tutorial

Hmmm... could I flash the radio from xxkk6 to xxla2?

What should I do to switch to JB? Would factory reset help to receive official JB or I have to manually JB update from thread above?
I hate factory reseting because I lose all my widgets and adjustments made to Nex :/

    Thx very much for help

Let's avoid factory resets for now so we don't lose anything. Try to flash the radio then reboot. Let's take it from there

Ok. Lets try do that to see if it works...
I will keep post updated as tutorial for others with same problem who appear so they can learn.

PROCEDURE FOR FLASHING RADIO XXKK6 to XXLA02 for correct JellyBean update (correct anything if im wrong

    1) Download https://dl.google.com/dl/android/aos...y-8001e72f.tgz and unzip the files within to a directory (unzip the zip inside as well); source for this is: https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images
    2) Download http://www.box.com/s/fefba711c4350e81e59b and extract the files into the same directory above;
    3) Enable usb debugging on your GNex and plug it into your computer
    4) Open a command prompt in the same directory above and do the following:
    5) Make sure your computer recognizes your device by typing: adb devices
    6) Go into fastboot mode on your device by typing: adb reboot-bootloader (Your GNex should now be in fastboot mode - beats having to press the volume up/down and power)
    7) Verify that your computer recognizes your device in fastboot mode by typing: fastboot devices
    8) Flash the radio: fastboot flash radio radio-maguro-i9250xxla02.img
    9) Reboot: fastboot reboot-bootloader

Just to inform that it worked. I flashed XXLA02 radio and JB update worked perfectly. All apps and widgets running smoothly.

Thanks again to thephantom for expert help.
