fromWell, there are several kinds of Samsung Galaxy Nexus in the market depending on the region where it is distributed. There are Samsung Galaxy Nexus with YAKJU firmware and the other is the Samsung Galaxy Nexus with YAKJUXW or YAKJUSC firmware (There’s also mysid). What’s the difference? Since Samsung Galaxy Nexus is developed by both companies (Google and Samsung), the YAKJU firmware gets its update contantly. The YAKJUXW on the other hand, is updated by Samsung (unfortunately, the update is very slow and sometimes does not update at all)

So the Yakjujp is a non yakju?

And in what do they differ exactly? Why Google can't update both?

Honestly, I don't know. I only know that updates on the yakjuxw build need to be approved by Samsung before they are pushed out. I guess it is supposed to work as some kind of "quality check", and Samsung says that some adaptions to the regions in which the build is sold are made. There are a lot of people running yakju here in Sweden where the yakjuxw build is sold without any problems so I have no idea what kind of "adaptions" are made.
How can you tell what build you have?
