    Galaxy Nexus Android 4.04 update

    Greeting.
I read on a site the specifications of the Galaxy Nexus, they wrote that it's upgradable to Android 4.04 .
In my settings I have a 4.02 and in the update settings they say that my device is up to date..
    Is that normal?

Based on the pics, you have a gsm yakjujp build which has 4.0.2 as the latest. Most people who have non plain yakju builds flash their devices to get the updates.

No they are not custom roms. They are direct firmware supplied by google. Very official in every way. The difference with installing a yakju/takju build over non-yakju is that you get the updates directly from Google. Non-yakju units get the updates from Samsung since it is "regionalized". I have in fact a tutorial on how to change from non-yakju to yakju in this forum. You can do it manually so that you can learn the process itself.

First time also that Nexus had several builds available. Before it was just one. Yakju is a build that Google directly updates. Non yakju is Samsung updated. There are some modifications particularly languages like yakjukr has Korean as default, yakjuzs has Chinese as default, yakjuux has a different radio image, etc. Plain yakju is the most basic and works for all if I'm not mistaken. And since Google gives out the updates for this, it gets them sooner. I originally had yakjuzs as my phone was bought in Hong Kong but flashed yakju last Feb and I have been on 4.0.4 since March. Now I'm using the preview stock build for Jellybean so that's another story

I went straight from 4.0.2 to 4.1 (GSM)...and added the latest radio at the same time. Wugfresh made it easy to unlock and root. The 4.1 and radio was easy also....copy two files to your phone and flash it.
