Well I did it and now am the proud owner of A GN with JB4.1.1 straight from Google...take that Telstra.
I couldn't get the Toolkit to run on Win7 64bit but that could be my antivirus , so I threw the program on an XP machine and it all went very well
I is a happy camper and a word to the noobs out there , if you use the toolkit just read through the help file first it basically gives you step by step info on how to do this.
Many thanks to those who gave their advice and support to me , it is truly appreciated . Special thanks to Wugs .
Hi Iam sorry to ask this But i have 4.0.4 on my galaxy nexus so is this the latest update or is there more to come.. Like i said iam a little behind the times lol probably my age 52 ha but iam doing ok.... Love my phone..
Cheers
If you're using the Telstra build then ICS 4.04 is all you will have (check your running version) as the Telstra build is not YAKJU, but YAKJUXW (or similar)
I say if you're happy with what you have then leave it, but if you are wanting to learn more about your phone an how android works then you can flash Yakju direct from Google (url is in this thread) This gives you the latest version (JellyBean 4.1.1)
So the option is yours to make
