[HOW TO] Update GSM Galaxy Nexus to ICS 4.0.4

OTA for my Nexus too! Saw this guide from another thread and after trying it my nexus immediately found a new update.

Here's the guide.

I created an account in this site to specifically express my gratitude for this information; it worked the first time I tried it.

Just to give a background on my device:

1) unlocked gnex bought from an Amazon vendor

2) had a different build and manually flashed it to stock 4.0.2 yakju a couple of weeks back

3) using a T-Mobile prepaid plan (1,500 minutes/text & 30MB data for flat $32.50/month; option for unlimited minutes/text/data for $54/month, but I don't need it), and I have disabled data and 3G usage to prolong battery (I have wifi at work and home, and signal strength is good here in Manhattan/Jersey City)

Has anyone in the EU got the 4.0.4 update?
I tried doing this about 10 times now but it doesn't seem to work.

In England on Orange Network. They tried to send me the update yesterday, however my Girlfriend on the same network is yet to receive it. It seems completely random.

What's your build? Your build should be yakju for you to receive the OTA.

It depends on your Nexus build. Yakju which is the build that is directly updated by google are the ones getting the update for now.

For those GSM users who still can't wait to update their GNex, I have updated the first page with steps on how to flash the full ROM package. Hope it helps.

I am from Turkey and i have Galaxy Nexus 4.0.2. My phone is Yakjujt and my Phone is 4G (i think it means hprs+). So i can't get an OTA update? If i bootload Yakju my phone will get OTA? Will this broke my warranty?

From what i've gathered in the internet, only Yakju and Yakjuux have gotten the 4.0.4 update as of yet. And even so, not everyone on those builds have received OTA. Most people have manually flashed. If you want to get the 4.0.4, you can follow the steps in the beginning of the thread. I am assuming you are using the GSM version, of course.
