Google Voice/ Verizon VM

Has anyone successfully setup your voicemail to work with Google Voice?

My voicemails still go to Verizon and I get a message under my settings when I try setting it to make Google Voice active it says that "unfortunately your network carrier is currently not supported for automatic voicemail configuration"


Any idea or suggestions?

I have mine set up and it works fine. I got two voicemails today on it. I had already had it set up before I got the GN though. You can still set it up manually, it just won't auto set-up.

I've had it working for me since day 1 as well. I seem to recall getting the message about the carrier, but it's definitely working (I got a voicemail on it this morning). Also had it set up previously on my DX.

FYI, IIRC, its been a while since i initially set it up. but it needs to be set up on the computer then the phone

I use it too. Just skip the step where it tries to do the automatic setup and go into settings after it's done and complete the setup yourself.

Just follow the instructions on Google to add the phone number.

On the phone, dial *71 then your 10 digit GV number. That forwards calls you don't answer to GV, which picks up with vmail.
