Nexus doesn't Turn On

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone would know what the problem is here. So basically, one morning I wake up and my phone is no longer turning on. I tried several troubleshooting tips including charging using a wall charger, taking the battery out for 5-10 mins and putting it back in, charging without battery, replacing battery. None of these worked for me and my phone is no longer under warranty. My last option was to come here and ask before throwing it in the trash. If anyone has any idea how to fix this, let me know.

Are you rooted or stock? Try to turn on the phone with battery out but plugged in. Also try booting into bootloader (Hold volume up&down + power button). Good luck.

I am stock. Yes, I did try to turn on phone plugged in with battery out and also tried booting into bootloader, but both did not work. Also, just a note that when I put my phone to charge, the usual charging sign that appears when phone is turned off no longer appears. If you have any other ideas, let me know.

Have you been having any issues with the charging port? Sure sounds like a hardware issue.

I have tried using different cables to charge and different batteries too but nothing seems to work. I think you are correct about the hardware issue. Do you think I would be able to fix it myself? Thanks!

Did u notice if the battery ran down rather sharp m8 and phone getting bit hot!! If so could well be a battery loop prob. Happened to me with Samsung galaxy s2. Don't look to good m8 sorry to say. Have an idea to find out though , have a mate who could loan u a battery just to try it for a short moment. Good luck m8 try it it could well be.

A little late to this thread, but I was having the same problems. Using a different cord fixed the problem. For some reason the original charger wire that came with the GN didn't seem to be working anymore. But the charging started right up once I swapped in a cheap and much older wire.

Are your pads to detect saturation activated? Are you aware of your phone getting wet?
