That''s a good question. Try to see if you can find different screen/digitizer part numbers and if they are the same I would suspect they could be the same. Let us know what you find out.

Speaking of which, Paul, now that I know enough in electronics to be dangerous, do you have any references for properly taking the phone apart and troubleshooting yourself? Complete with schematics, what order to disassemble, what certain freq's/waveforms should be when using an o-scope), resistance, and voltages, etc? Incase something happens, I don't want some Tinkerbell diddling around with my phone, change a $1 capacitor and/or a 50¢ resistor and charge me $200. Or get another POS replacement from Big Red.

Easy there sparky! There's not that many serviceable components as they are micro components or integrated on the boards. Repairs are usually not done on component level as they just replace boards. If you are feeling frisky take apart your microwave oven.

Edit: I think some guy on YouTube has a video. Ifixit?

Re: Are the Sprint and GSM displays interchangable?

Lol! Thanks, Paul. I already changed a cap. in my microwave. Thus saving my wife and I some money. They ought to make high altitude capacitors. Instead of manufacturing them at sea level, manufacture some up here. Probablt have a certain mark on them to signify a high altitude cap.

I'm waiting for the big screen tv to go out. Maybe then I could REALLY be the nerd in shining flannel...

But any ways. Sorry, Yoni, for momentarily hijacking your thread.

    *Edit:

    Kind of like this, Paul?

And shouldn't that guy be using his grounding straps/bracelet to keep from damaging some of the chips?
