Using the Nexus 7 as a File transfer Engine ???

Hi everyone .... have a specific question that so far , no definitive answer on line ....

My outback , Photographic travel needs require me to be able to transfer large RAW files to a couple of 500gb 2.5" drives at the end of a days shoot... .... up to now I have been using a laptop as the engine to rip files from SD or CF to the external drives I carry for easy backup storage .... works well but adds 8lb to the travel kit.

What I want to do is use the Nexus 7 ..... and a Micro USB-OTG Hub/card reader combo seen here......Micro USB OTG smartphone hub card reader adapter for samsung galaxy S2 Motorola | eBay ......So Will I be able to transfer 40 to 50gb Jpeg and or RAW files from the cards (SD) attached to the OTG hub ...... via the Nexus 7 ......directly to the 2.5" external drive (also attached to the OTG Hub) .... Many thanks in advanced.
