Internet 3G & HSPA+ Issues

Hi,

i am using 4.1.1, baseband I9250XXLF1, kernel 3.0.31 g6fb96c9, build JRO03C

when i am at home, around regional Victoria, my phone stays at H, when i head into cities like Sydney & Melbourne it seems to alternate between 3G & H, but when it's on 3G no data seems to come through. Is there a way to stop it from switching to 3G.?

Also i wasn't aware that this phone was 4G, but when I use app 'notification toggle' it has 4G switch when I press the button it comes up w the list of specs 4G, i can touch the settings button which comes up with list of options like enable radio ect...... does this mean my phone is 4G capable?

I have noticed mine does the same thing , I chalked it up to being on an "indie" carrier but it seems to go to 3G for voice and H for data, I have the build and type of Nexus that you do. I'm in Canada.
