Turn off sound when taking picture; Wifi shortcut on screen?

Hello

I have a couple of questions:

1. Is it possible to turn off the "click" sound that the Nexus plays when taking a picture? I looked around the Settings area, but found nothing.

2. The application I currently use to sync Outlook and the Nexus relies on wifi, and enabling/disabling wifi requires multiple clicks: Is there a good, basic widget that I could install on the main screen so I can enable/disable wifi in one go with no fuss?

FWIW, I tried DroidMania and HotspotWidget, but they don't work (nothing happens).

Hi there... I'm not sure if it's only on custom ROMS... I have setting in camera settings to turn off power shutter... Also for wifi have you tried the power widget that is standard with phone...

1. Turning off the noise when taking a picture is apparently illegal in some areas so it is only available on custom ROMs I'm pretty sure.

2. The stock power control widget has a button for wifi that takes only one click to turn on and off. Beautiful widgets also has one that is just a single button instead of the whole bar. Widgetsoid also has a wifi toggle that will work for you.

Thanks for the infos. I hoped I wouldn't have to root the handheld just to turn off the sound. I'll put that on the back burner.

I can't use the stock Power Widget bar because I don't have enough room left on my main screen. I'll check the couple that you mentioned.

What I use for wifi toggle I really like Widgetsoid. My favorite part is having the widget in my notification tray. It is easy as swipe down then toggle off/on what you need and done. As for the camera sound if i do not want to hear the click I again use Widgetsoid in my notification bar to mute my phone.
