    my blutooth headset is not being detected. it can be detected by other phones.

    Bluetooth is on and set to be visible to all nearby devices. Pl advice.

    Your phone being visible to other devices won't help you connect your headset. Does your headset need to be in some kind of pairing mode before it connects to a device?

    From my nexus phone when I click search devices, it does not show up my headset. To answer your question, I press the button on the headset to ON mode, after which it should get detected as a bluetooth device [as it does on my Samsung B3210, about 18 month old model], but galaxy nexus does not seem to pick it

    Your headset must be in pairing mode before you can connect it to your phone. Please view this document and follow the instructions for pairing your headset.

    Thanks. This worked nicely. Earlier I missed waiting for the headset to go into pairing mode. Referred the document and got unblocked.
