email stuck on waiting for synk !
I cant understand what happened lol but here goes!
I just installed JB on my galaxy nexus yesterday and as far as I can tell everything is installed correctly,
Everything is already running properly ( i mean all normal apps and all apps I downloaded, gmail everything) BUT, I hadent set up my yahoo email on yet ( in the stock email app).
Now when I tried to add my yahoo acount tonight ( my wifi was off ) I only had 1 little bar of reception( I just didnt notice). I forgot to turn on wifi before starting the email set up ( in my appartment phone reception is terrible, at my pc I can go from 1 to 0 bars on and off constantly with the rare occasion 2 bars). Now everything went in properly and the app started waiting for synk.
30-50 seconds went by and I started wondering why it wasent done already ( its normaly verry fast on wifi) witch made me realise my wifi was off. So I clicked home, turned on wifi and returned to the email app witch was still waiting for sync.
now 10 minutes later ( left the phone on the table) the email app is still waiting for sync. At this point I was very impatient so I figured id force it to fail at "finding" what its looking for on the internet.
So I went in settings and turned off wifi and cellular data, rebooted my phone and on restart its still waiting for sync......
Now the email app looks frozen in a loop of waiting for sync, I cant access the settings, they pop up and then it returns to the waiting for sync page.
no amounts of waiting, rebooting, turning wifi and cellular data on and off will change this.
Now I went in settings looking for the account to delete it and its not there. So I descided to try and create one from the settings page ( because the email app itself is stuck on waiting for sync) and it goes trough.
Now when I open up the email app it goes to a waiting for sync screen for a mili second and then switches to my regular yahoo email page( the second one I made trough the settings page). if I go in settings I can see an " empty" space where a account name should be and below it my regular account that I created from the settings screen. If I click the invisible account the settings page pops up for just a milisecond and goes back to the profiles page. If I click up all the way on the top left where you can select to go back to the profiles page the email app crashes...
Also I changed the password on my email trough my pc to try to get the app to fail at syncing !! still nothing!
Is there something to do other then a factory reset, I dont know what else to try lol !

p.s: im convinced that what caused the orriginal malfunction is an internet connection issue!!

Ok found a fix with the help of a friend( posting to help others),
I went in setting, apps and selected the email app. Then selected clear data/ force stop and for good measure, I disabled it and re-enabled it.
Problem solved, the app has reset completely!
Go to setting > Data Usage > Menu> Check Auto-sync data
after that, delete the email account and recreate it again.
Hopefully works for all of you.
