OK. This is weird: Phone somehow automatically tried the previously mentioned OTA to 4.0.4. After that reboot, it's now downloading 4.1 in order to update. Is it possible that I have flashed the GSM files inadvertently??? Or something else?? I can't find anything online indicating that this is being pushed out by VZW.

    Thanks!

Can you post some info from settings > about phone, so that we can confirm exactly where you are at this point? Please post what is listed for android version, baseband version, kernel version, and build number.

If the update wants to install, tell it to install later if prompted, for the time being.

IMM76I is a GSM build, so your OS is GSM at this point and most likely the reason the radio won't take. I'd restore it to stock using fastboot now that you're set up for it. Here is a good guide to restore to 4.0.2 for LTE/CDMA...[HOW TO] Unroot the VZW GN, Re-Lock the bootloader and Start Factory Fresh

Thanks! I thought that 4.1 push was suspicious. I will follow the guide when I get home from work and update.

When you go to update the OS in fastboot after skipping the radios, since you can't get cdma on, it's going to fail middle way through because it'll be looking for those radio files and they aren't there. You will need to modify the updater script to change the baseband it looks for

You did somehow end up flashing some GSM files which I'm sure is what caused your problem. I'm hoping there is something inside secret menu *#*#4636#*#* that we can change and get some radios on there

It sounds like this isn't hopeless, which I take as good news. Look forward to figuring this out tonight. Thanks to all!

OK. Home and ready to take a stab at this. I just went through the walkthrough posted above. Got hung on radio-cdma again. Should we try this secret menu thing?

also, after the walkthrough, all of the settings mentioned above, including Build: IMM76I, are still the same.
