    Something transparent behind background?

When I look closely at my screen I can see that there is something there... it looks like a web page?
I can see it even whenever the background color is light enough whether I am in the 'Home' screen or I'm on the browser viewing google.com (white background).
Is my screen defective or is there some hidden thing running in the background?

The best analogy I can think of is staring at something for a long time, and then when you look at a white background, you still see the image like an after-effect.
I can see these random 'images' on my screen, not sure if it's like a graphical glitch or something.
    Anybody else's screen like this?

It doesn't appear in a screenshot. I was wondering if this was a particular defect of my phone or if that's just how all the Galaxy Nexus screens are.

Naw that definitely sounds like your phone. Like an image burn or something. My screen is a clear and beautiful as it can be. I would look in to getting a replacement. Are you with VZW or do you have a GSM version?

Ah yeah I think that is exactly what my problem is. I am curious though, after reading the wikipedia page about it, it sounds like this is something that will happen eventually.

"It can take as little as only a few weeks for noticeable ghosting to set in, especially if the screen displays a certain image (example: a menu bar at the top or bottom of the screen) constantly, and displays it continually over time."

Also @d1L777 I am with Verizon Wireless

Burn in usually only happens when one image is left on untouched for an extended period of time. Like the clock app you can set up to always display the clock when plugged in but it will move around on the screen so that it doesn't stay in one spot for an extended amount of time and cause image burn in. Since you are with VZW, I would most definitely either call customer service and tell them you have this problem which is most likely image burn, or go to a corporate store and get a replacement there. You shouldn't have any problems getting a replacement. That shouldn't happen that quick.

I've recently noticed some burn in on my lte nexus. It's where the nav bar and the status bar are. It's very noticeable when
I'm using an app like netflix that makes the soft keys and status bar go away. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I've had this same nexus since dec. 15 on launch day. I've been thinking of calling vzw and asking for a replacement but I'm kind of hesitant because I've had zero problems with this device. Just scared to get sent a P.O.S. I'd love to hear some of you guys opinion on this.
