Hello and welcome...I very seldom clear cache thru the settings - apps - all...I use an app from the market called 1-click cleaner that does a real nice job.

Hello librarian and welcome to the site. +1 for 1-click cleaner. CacheMate is also a good app for cleaning cache.

Hi! Thanks, but tried one that had used with my My touch, but it did not seem to work very well from what I could see, and it did not really clear cache from a lot of heavy cache user programs. Does one need to clear the cache as we did with the older phones? If I try cleaning in the app settings it is always computing the cache.

It takes a few seconds - ten to fifteen at most. I take it you're just annoyed by the delay? I still clear cache individually in settings but eventually I'll probably get one of these cache cleaners.

I would also like to +1 to the one click cleaner. It is the cleanest (no pun intended) UI and simplest app for this I found on the Market. I use it frequently, for I regularly download apps, constantly looking for the right combo for my needs at the time. Also, I occasionally go into the phone via Astro File Manager and manually wipe out the random stuff that is reminiscent of applications lost. I really do not recommend that, unless you know what you're erasing. When I first started in the Droid world with my A855, I ended up mistakenly deleting some necessary files for the regular functionality of the phone. It took two forums, an hour, endless cursing, and about a six pack of beer, just to get it to a point where I could do a factory reset.

1-Click Cleaner doesn't work on my Galaxy Nexus. It tells me the caches have been cleared, but they still exist.
