Don't have/know your wireless router, but mine has a log, and yours probably does too. You might try logging into your wireless router and look at the log and see if there are any messages about failed connections and why. Your GN has a log too, which you can read with a program called "aLogCat". There will be a LOT of entries, but aLogCat has good filtering.

You might also try (temporarily!) turning off all the security features on the wireless router (turning it into an open access point that needs no password), to see if your problem is related to the security end of things or the rf end of things.

Also it was reported on a different thread that people having trouble connecting to their routers that doing a soft reset (battery pull, wait a few minutes, reboot) helps with wifi connections. Might help with your issue.

Have you backed up your files and pictures? I see too many desperate cries for help recovering deleted priceless pictures with no solution.

I retired my 655 due to lousy reception. I'm in a VERY hi rf area, and the 655 didn't cut it with any of my WiFi devices. I've been very happy with a asus RT-N56U.
