How do I update Superuser?

I used adb push su.zip /sdcard/ to put superuser on my device. I recently had to do it again when I updated from 4.0.1 to 4.0.4 with a different su.zip. Now, I am getting notifications from the Play Store to update superuser. I think others have issues using the Play Store to update it. How do I update to this newest version and stop these notifications?

Open up the superuser app, its scrollable left and right by touch. Click on the check binaries. It will check and update if need be. Downloading the superuser app from the marker also should include the latest.

The binaries are up-to-date. It's the app that needs updating. Downloading the app from the Google Play is giving some users problems. I think because they installed it like I did by installing the zip from recovery. I was thinking I need to use the same method to install the latest version.

You could, you would just need to find the latest version in a apk. If you do it should work fine.

You shouldn't have any issues updating through Google Play.

I updated through Google Play and everything appears to be working fine. At first, Superuser could not determine the binary version. It would spin and spin. I had to reboot the phone and then Superuser was able to determine the binary and find a binary update. The update to the binary was successful also. Thanks to all for your input.
