update.zip & superuser problem! Noob needs your help!
Dear all, I have my Gnex 3 days now, and i almost understood the procedure of rooting.
Day.1: got the phone, downloaded WugFresh toolkit and followed the instructions. Result- Phone unlocked! Also I installed AOKP milsetone 5 (without backing up) and then I could not download any apps (no Google play), so I thought it is not so easy! (and I restored to factory stock)
Day.2: I can have access to fastboot recovery (from volume buttons & power together ) but not from CWM. CWM says my phone is not rooted, obvious because I have not installed update.zip and superuser. So I downloaded the .zip files and droped them to my phone (storage device) (as zip files).
Then I open the fastboot recovery and select to install the zips, but I get messages "ERROR: 0'' or "file not found in directory /sdcard'' (something like that). I am stuck there guys, and I do not know what to do !!!
*my phone is unlocked.
Any suggestions??

Sounds like you didn't install the gapps.

Whenever I use fastboot, I put the files on my pc & push them with adb.
Tapped from a Galaxy Nexus using Xparent ICS

I agree with CJM. On the first issue, you did not install the gapps. If you look around the first post the AOKP threads you will find a link to the gapps and instructions on installing the rom and the gapps.
On the second issue concerning CWM, try reading through this for a better understanding of what's needed: How to: Root the Galaxy Nexus 4G LTE, Flash a Custom Recovery and Make a Backup [Verizon] – Droid Life
Good luck.
