I have searched the topic and do not find a reference to my build. I have a Verizon Samsung Galaxy Slll Build IMM76D.l535VRALF2, Android versio 4.0.4 and do not see the IMM76D listed in the choices in NRT v1.5.4. So should I choose a different option?

The Samsung Galaxy SIII isn't a Nexus device. I am looking into forking the program to do something similar with that device, but its not ready yet.

I tried to root my Nexus 7, but I can't seem to get it done.

It is currently running 4.1.2 (JZO54K), and it is unlocked (when it boots, I can see the lock is open).
It goes through the booting procedures, but when (I think) it should start installing SuperSU and other things, it simply finishes the install.

Where did I go wrong, and how do I fix it?

    Thanks!

EDIT Never mind, I read some more posts on XDA, and reverted to the previous bootloader. Thanks!!

    Hello,
I have a Galaxy Nexus that I purchased when it was first sold over a year ago.
I then was given a brand new iPhone when Verizon first started to offer them so its been a while since Ive played with a android device.
Well now that iOS6 was released and there does not look like there will be a jailbreak option anytime in the near future I have gotten so B0red that I am powering up my Nexus but I'm totally lost as to what where and when.
So I was thinking I'd restore the device to factory condition and start reaclimating myself all over again.
Also I am thinking of getting a Razr Maxx HD but that would be days weeks away.

When last I used my Nexus I remember something about installing the Th3ory ROM called Axi0m which I very much enjoyed, but a lot of time has passed and a lot of updates to ICS ROM itself and Axi0m doesn't allow for the OTA notifications.
I have been searching for the Th3ory site but it appears its no longer up and running so at this point since I cant make heads or tails of any of this I should restore back to the beginning.

    Any thoughts???
I have been pointed to this thread by a few ppl and hope to better understand what I need to do.
I assume I need to put my PC back on line since I have been using a iMAC for over a year now.

Any direction would be GREATLY appreciated.

    Thanks

Having trouble rooting my encrypted Nexus 7 (4.1.2 JZO54K). When it kicks TWRP I dont get the option to decrypt using my password like it did on my Galaxy Nexus (also encrypted).
It just logs that it failed to mount and goes to the TWRP menu. Any suggestions?

    Thanks for the reply.
It did behave slightly differently. The root files get pushed to the SD card but still when booting into TWRP the Galaxy Nexus option to enter password for decryption is not displayed.
Failed to mount. SD card still encrypted. No way to root.
