Wug's Nexus Root Toolkit v1.6.3 [Updated 02/24/13]

Currently on 4.0.4 build IMM76K with Verison and am having difficulty with the OTA update to JB or the toolkit to get to JB. I have tried a few things, one of them being downloading the zip file... 60fc80848c8e.signed-mysid-JRO03O-from-IMM76K.60fc8084

Is there an automated way to do this with the toolkit v1.5.3? I don't seem to find the zip file to put into the folder ready to flash.

When I put 60fc80848c8e.signed-mysid-JRO03O-from-IMM76K.60fc8084 into the ready to flash folder, I get stuck on the CMW recovery screen.

Feeling rather inept at the moment. Advice anyone?

Use the flash zips button in advanced utilities. "file on computer"

Hello Wug, I assume this question has been asked but I am literally brand new and still browsing. I just received my phone and dl/installed the Verizon OTA JB. I have not done anything else. Your toolkit is what I need to use to unlock and root from there correct?

but I didn't check the mark to flash the custom recovery... now that I'm rooted how can I install it?

Just upgraded to 4.1.1 I have downloaded your program was able to unlock the bootloader
but cant Root

I am with Verizon Wireless just got 4.1.1 with build JRO03O
On my Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Use the "Any Build" mode in the pull down list. Thanks for your support

I am actually working on scripting a whole new system (for v1.6) that will pull stock boot.img's directly from from the device, modify the file accordingly, and then integrate that modded file into the the toolkit for future use. In theory, with that new system the toolkit should be able to support all devices with unlockable bootloaders that can flash images with fastboot natively (without me having to update the toolkit per device); so that means toolkit support far beyond the Nexus line That said... that system is going to take me some more time and my test-version is only partially coded at this stage (fingers crossed that I can actually pull it off).

So.. In the meantime, use "Any Build" mode for unlisted devices. I just noticed that Google has provided the stock factory image package for the new JRO03O Verizon (toro) Gnex build on their site.. so I am going to be providing full official support for that build very soon in v1.5.4. My ETA is for sometime next week possibly sooner if I can allocate more time to coding over this upcoming weekend. Stay tuned.

Using the Any version worked perfectly to unlock and root my Verizon galaxy Nexus
When I try to make a backup, it tells me I need to have my build available which seems that you are working on now.

Is there a way to back up my device so I can go ahead and install a custom recovery like clockwork?

Is there a way to revert to stock which would include both the recovery and the rom if I do change to a custom recovery like clockworkmod?

I am under the impression that there are two areas that would need to be backed up in case I need to go back to stock. One is the jelly bean rom and the other is the bootloader. Is that true?

You are unlocking the bootloader so you can apply custom ROM's.. or not. Not to be confused with SIM unlocking.. which the phone already is
