My Sprint GNEX (toroplus) just received the the Jelly bean OTA a week ago. I have been on the fence about rooting my phone until I came across your Toolkit. Will this work with Build: JRO03U?

Same problem as Boz. Verizon Galaxy Nexus 4.0.4 build IMM76K. Phone just sits there in recovery. Message on PC says "Waiting for your device to finish booting back up" Nothing happens. If I touch start, I get a message that it is rooting. After boot, SuperSU says no binary installed. Not rooted. Need to get past this. I thought this was supposed to be easy but I have now been at this 6 hours now. I have rooted Windows 6.5 phones and Android Samsung Fascinate but have never encountered anything as frustrating as this. Please tell me what I need to do next!!! Fasboot status says: Download and a bunch of numbers way too tiny to read.

OK I went ahead and hit the power key to start. Looks like it was going along. Now stuck on Booting TWRP Temporarily. What's next? Help! Anyone?

RE: Wug's Nexus Root Toolkit v1.5.3

Tis a good day when you know you own the same phone as WugFresh. I owned the Droid X before this. Man am I glad I chose this one over the Razr.

    Well, finally rooted

What a difference a day makes! Nothing changed. I just came in. Plugged in the device, Clicked the root button again. This time there were no hang ups and I just sat and watched as it quickly and smoothly went through all the boots and stuff. This time it worked. When this thing works I can see why everyone is so appreciative of it. It really is very simple, very easy after all. The constant issues with the drivers for Windows 7 64 turned out to be the most difficult part.
Thanks, WugFresh! I am going to see about donating to your efforts.

Use the Sprint "Any Build *.*.*" Mode. That should root it no problem. I really wish google released the sprint factory images though...

Haha, thank you. I will tell you right now that I am sticking with the Nexus line from here on out I think. I will always try to be vocal about what next device I am getting nexe on twitter/G+. For now I am very happy with my Gnex.

I really need to write an FAQ; select the corresponding YAKJU build in the toolkit, it should work for that build.

I'm just getting started with your toolkit on my gsm Galaxy Nexus just purchased direct from Google. The other day I succeeded in rooting, but I spent hours trying to get the drivers installed beforehand. I tried all 3 methods in the toolkit to no avail. Finally, I installed a sync program called Android-Sync on my PC which seemed to install the correct drivers. After that the unlocking and rooting went without issues. Now I've lost the drivers on the PC (did an image restore) and want to make a NANdroid backup of phone. Can anyone tell me what is the best method for installing the drivers. At the moment it gets hung up with the message, Fastboot device not found'. Thanks in advance for any help.
    Pete
