Problem with SUPERsu binary not installed......Nexus 7
I unlocked my Nexus 7 and then rooted it with the toolkit. SuperSU will not open. I get a message saying:
There is no SU binary installed, and SuperSU cannot install it. This is a problem !
I ran the root process several times now and it looks ok, but Busybox will not update so something went wrong with the rooting process.
I don't know if I made a good backup so I can't return to stock.
Any suggestions? I am a noobe.
Thanks!!
FIXED!!!!! The 4th time rooting was the charm!!!!

Hey Wug, got a couple problems
A)Your tool kit does not back up my phone, your program always freezes (not responding)
B)I set up my drivers just fine, but when it goes to check for fast boot mode, it does not detect my phone, after unplugging and plugging my usb cable into the back of the desktop, it notices it
C)Now the thing that bothers me the most, I go to 'unlock' the phone, which should wipe it, as you place various warnings about this, well it goes through the process and my phone does not wipe at all, its still the same as it was when I woke up this morning.
D)I really want to make this work, should I run to best buy and purchase a special usb wire? My computer is brand new, and i am running windows 7
thank you for your time
I also just pushed ahead even though my phone did not wipe, and went through the root process, its failing to detect root on superuser when I go to upgrade

I have a problem when i configured my drivers. I was stuck in step 6, neither step 6a/b worked.
Here is the two printscreens that may help explain my problem:

Anyone can help? I really want to make it work! Thanks

Device cannot start codes can usually be resolved by doing things like:
- Trying an alternate USB port
- Rebooting your computer
- Using a different USB cord

I am not sure why you are having so many difficulties, but maybe these resources will help; Please check the FAQ's on my site:
Nexus Root Toolkit v1.5.2 | WugFresh
Check out this video:
If you are still having no luck, then I recommend waiting for v1.5.3, I have been working very hard to make this program better.
You don't need a "special USB wire". Hopefully you get things resolved after checking out that information. Let me know.

Rooting unsuccesfull - Verizon GNEX stock 4.04
So I followed the great instructions in v 1.5.2. It says "to finish the process...Open SuperUser ...and tap to check for updates." It shows a current version 3.0.3 and a newer version of 3.1.1 is available, downloads new binaries then fails at "gaining root access". I Try Again a few times but it continues to fail.
Any ideas?

Okay for some reason I cant un root my Gnex anymore with 1.5.2. I tried it with ICS and JellyBean and both does the same thing. As soon as it gets to the bootloader and tells me that it is going to wipe everything and all that, I hit OK and the command prompt window opens for half a second and disappears. Whats wrong with it? I used to do this all the time and all of a sudden it wants to this. Its very urgent as I am getting my VZW replacement today and I need to send back my current one which is not yet unrooted!

I'm trying to return my Verizon Galaxy Nexus to stock, but after the radio step, I see a few messages of "archive not containing [file]", and when the script is finished, my phone stays in fastboot mode, and at the bottom it says "FASTBOOT STATUS - OKAYunkown." When I reboot, nothing has changed. What's gone wrong, and how do I fix it?

That's because you installed the toolkit to a path that had spaces in it. I tried to prevent that from happening but I made a mistake. I will correct it in the next release. Install the toolkit to the default directory and you won't have that problem anymore.
