[TOOL] Stand-Alone Root / Unlock & Restore / Lock [All OS's]

I created these by request, I'm sure there isn't a huge demand for them but wanted to post in case anyone needs them. These would be useful if you are having problems with the common root tool kits, maybe driver issues you can't get sorted out. This is basically a very small Linux operating system that has been remastered and includes ADB, fastboot and all the necessary files to unlock the bootloader and root, the other one has all the files to restore complete stock 4.0.4 and lock the bootloader.

Live CD Instructions (Mac):
Download the above file
Use Disk Utility (built in) to burn iso file to a CD (instructions)
Shut computer down
Hold c key, push power and hold c untill you see the Linux OS start
Hit enter at the yellow "boot baby... boot" screen
You will see yellow dots for 3-5 minutes then the script will start
Hit cancel at the sound card check
The script will automatically start, just follow the on screen instructions

Live CD Instructions (Windows):
Download the above file
Burn iso image to a disk (Instructions, Window 7 - Vista and XP)
Reboot PC
Hit F12 (sometimes F8 or esc) during boot to go to boot menu (possibly google search how to boot your specific pc from CDROM)
Select boot from CDROM
Hit enter at the yellow "boot baby... boot" screen
You will see yellow dots for 3-5 minutes then the script will start
Hit cancel at the sound card check
The script will automatically start, just follow the on screen instructions

Live USB Instructions (Windows):

Download UNetBootin for Windows
Download your favorite Linux ISO (The one in this thread!)
Double click the Unetbootin Executable to start the program
(1) Click the Diskimage radio box
(2) browse to select your ISO
(3) Set your target USB drive
(4) click OK to start the creation



(5) After the USB drive is done select reboot.
(6) During boot enter the boot menu and change USB to boot first, save and reboot.
(7) When booting from UNetbootin select SliTaz
(8) Select cancel if you get a sound card check
The script will automatically start, just follow the on screen instructions

and it's official... 1kds releases an iso... um... akin to sbf flashing?? for the gnex... awesome man... these are so helpful...haha... and now that this phone doesn't have an sd slot... i got a free memory for the extra hackery on the go...haha...

what a fantastic concept!
Best part is, I can boot it up anywhere there's a computer available without having to modify or install anything.

Maybe there is a little bit of interest for it. Really, I don't expect it to replace Wug's tool set (which is far, faaarrr superior and more in depth than this), just figured it doesn't hurt to have one more tool in the GNex hacking arsenal.

Its the perfect tool for the crackflasher on the go, let's say I'm on vacation and I boot loop while flashing something.. normally, if I don't have my laptop I'm stuck.. solution? just pack an iso with your socks, and you can walk into a best buy, pretend you're checking out a laptop, and return your phone to stock images .. I honestly think you shouldn't leave home without it.

If you do it, you have to get it on video
1KDS can make an option that asks you if you're in a best buy, so that it doesn't flash the bootloader, in case an associate pulls out your USB cord lol
