Having a little trouble unlocking the bootloader. Followed the guide step by step.

After rebooting to the bootloader using the 'fastboot oem unlock' command it just hangs on < waiting for device>.

    Any ideas?

I believe you have a driver issue. Check out the latter part of this article for different driver configurations.

I still think it's a driver issue. I'll see what else I can find out.

Did you try going in to device manager in windows (I assume you're using windows) and see if there was a device with an exclamation point next to it? If so open that up and go to update the drivers from there and when asked choose the file from your computer that you downloaded for the Samsung drivers. See if that solves your problem

I installed the Samsung Driver but there isn't a yellow exclamation point in device manager.

Just says "Samsung Android ADB Interface" when I update that driver with the one listed in instructions it no longer reboots to bootloader. Just reboots the phone.

It definitely sounds like a driver issue. I used the method from Droid Forums and used pdanet drivers as it would solve the "waiting for device" warning. Check it out if nothing else works.

I knew I'd read about a driver which was suppose to rectify that problem. I think it's what Paul linked above. You might have to do away with some other drivers if you have multiple ones installed. That "USBDeview" program in the link I gave you earlier would be a good way to gather them up and get rid of them all at once.
