    ok all fixed up lol
it wasnt without its issues though, apparently unlocking wipes the phone and it took me about 20 min to figure out usb debug was off causing adb not to work again lol

heres another bit of info thats probably somewhere in this thread that wouldnt hurt to put in the op

"Use Root Explorer to Mount the system folder as R/W (or use a free app from the Market). Delete the file recovery-from-boot.p from /system. Now when you flash CWM Recovery it will NOT be overwritten after a reboot."

Is it true you can still get updates when rooted?

Sometimes you can get the update and it just breaks your root. Sometimes the update doesn't finish. Depends on the developer having built the ROM to allow updates and whether or not you have a custom recovery installed.

    Tapped via Galaxy Nexus LTE..

Being rooted should still allow you to recieve OTA updates, once you flash a custom ROM though then that's a diff story.

But like Stephen mentioned above, you will most likely lose root after an OTA then you'd have to reroot.
