Unable to hear parts of conversation when using the phone

Good evening,

Just switched from a Blackberry to the Galaxy Nexus on Verizon. I've noticed that when I call my home phone with the nexus, it seems that I only hear parts of what they are saying. They'll be talking then all I get is silence then I can hear them again. I searched the site but didn't see anything along these lines. Any ideas? Doesn't seem to happen mobile to mobile. Thanks.

If it doesn't happen mobile to mobile then it probably is your home phone service and not your Nexus.

I was talking to a friend of mine and he is experiencing the same problem with the Nexus to a home phone. I'm not sure about his home phone but my home phone is not a VOIP phone, it's a regular phone line from the phone company. It's just wierd since I never had this problem with the Blackberry but it's very annoying.

That is weird. The only thing I can suggest is try going into phone>settings> voice privacy and un-check it and see if it makes a difference.
