One more thing - it seems clear to me that, notwithstanding a few comments here, most who have gotten the update did it without rebooting between tries. Is that true? When I went from 4.0.1 to 4.0.4, I know I didn't reboot.

I just read this thread a few hours ago at work and turned on wifi, but no go when I manually tried to get the update. I got home and shortly after 2 am I picked up my phone and I had the update pushed to my phone with wifi still on. I live in San Diego county.
