Android Beam & Allshare Play? Compatibility?

Does the Gs3 and the Gnex have a compatibility to sharing photos by just tapping the phone or somewhat like that?

That's a function available on the S3 with the S-Beam feature. The GNex does have NFC capabilities but doesn't have S-Beam.

It didn't have that option until the jb update wherein you can now use nfc to beam pics

Sometimes I need a little more help than others. B.e.c.a.u.s.e...s.o.m.e.t.i.m.e.s...I...a.m...s.l. o.w... Lol!

But aren't s-beam and NFC virtually the same thing? Beccause I was experimenting with some people I know who think they are so cool because they have an SIII. And they were sending files back and forth. I then sent one to them - what I thought at the time was the same way. Because I "bumped" the other one and sent a Demotivational pic to him. And then I thought I would one up them and pay for lunch....with Google Wallet. I swear to God their jaws hit the floor.

But I was playing around in settings on one of them and I'm pretty sure I saw the same NFC setting. So I am hypothesizing that "S-Beam" is just a fancy gimmic-name for NFC. And their batteries are like ours - it says "Near Field Communication" on it.

i have the nexus with JB on it, and now my wife just got the S3 that still has ICS. i can send links and contacts, but not images. i am hoping that when she gets JB things will get better. Also the things like share point and some of the other features that you can do with the camera, you would think that they would include it in an update for us nexus users, or make an app for it.... if not i might have to sell my Nexus and get an S3.... anyone want it? 8)

Can't send pics...I'm not discounting that. So, please, don't misunderstand . I am just trying to see what might have happened that I sent the pic. I was pretty sure that I sent a pic he received it. So I just thought that it used the NFC. It was on JB, though. Maybe an app that I have made use of NFC that I wasn't aware of? Maybe I palmed or fat-fingered my phone (I fat-finger my keyboard all the time. Thus fezrock dubbing me "King of the Self-Edit." Lol.

I want the Nexus if you're selling it. But my wife would justifyably kill me and hide the body because I am living off student "income." And she's keeping the boat afloat while I am. Lol.
